Will Esp32 support 5Ghz Wifi frequency in future?

Hi,
I want to know is there any possibility in future Esp32 will support 5Ghz in Future.
Or else if i want to work with 5Ghz wifi freq ill have to change the chip.

Any help is appreciated.

ESP32 chips as they are now will not suddenly be 'upgraded' to 5GHz; they simply don't have the hardware for a software upgrade and it's way too complicated to fit in a mask change. We do have (new) ESP32 series chips that support 5GHz on our roadmap, but I cannot comment on when those will be available.
