You are ordering boards for 5mm pkg? Is it available to sample/purchase?

Yes, plus it has built-in 2MB? flash in D2 configuration, so it's more secure and much smaller overall.

Ok, so now there is another issue with the latest manual:

I can confirm from inspecting the part that it matches the first diagram. The question then is, is the second diagram wrong, and therefore are pins 1-14 on the long side?

D2 would be 16 Mbit

0=No Embedded Flash
2=16 Mbit

- you have this ESP32 SoC's get / in the hand from sales@espressif as samples and you can compare ( inspecting ) to the diagram practial with your own eyes on it ( on the SoC )

can u please say, which brandmark is on the chip?

ESP32-D2WDQ5

or better can you post a shoot of the SoC?

Hi Rudi,

Yes, it's 16Mb = 2MB.

Yes, available in small quantities from sales. Yes I have 300 in front of me. Just preparing to re-spin board due to this issue. I don't think the pinout diagram showing the numbers is correct.

I can't get a good picture with my phone, unfortunately. Nor can I really read the inscription.

The pin 1 dot wouldn't line up with pin 1 if it was on the 14 pin side...

Cheers

Right, but I have actual parts and they match the diagram that would indicate it's on the 14-pin side. That is the problem.
