I used the Espressif tool (EspRFTestTool_v2.8_Manual.exe) normally. I didn't need to expose the IO to do transmission tests of my antennas. If you need to measure the signal directly from the chip, I suggest using ESP32 WROOM 32U or any board with an external antenna. So, you just need to connect to your measurement equipment, such as a spectrum analyzer. In my configurations, I left the preset TX power as 20 dBm, but you can add some attenuation in multiples of 0.25 dB. I hope this can help some of you.
