Hey, I believe I might be having the same problem. Could I provide you with a picture of the qr code to see if it is the case?
That's indeed a module that is preflashed for a customer and has download modes disabled. Can I ask where you obtained it?

Sorry for the late response. That clears up a lot of things. Interestingly enough I just got them off of mouser (https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Es ... 7ceUJhQ%3D).

Thanks for the help! I will source these chips from LCSC in my next order and see if it fixes the issue.

That is very odd. Mouser is an otherwise reputable distributor; I would not expect modules like that to end up in their stock. We'll look into it, thank you for mentioning it.

Update: I have just found out that these chips were not supplied by Mouser. PCBWay had (for whatever reason) decided to source the chips from a different source (a random "trustworthy" source, their words not mine), despite me linking them Mouser. Probably some method to cut costs for them when possible, while unfortunately potentially bricking boards for their customers. I am not very happy with them about this.

Warning to anybody who gets Espressif chips assembled through PCBWay: add a comment that you want to force them to specifically use the source that you provided (because apparently that's the only way for them to listen to you).

Ah, thanks for the update. Not good on pcbway, but that matches my expectations a bit better.

Hello
I believe I might be having the same problem.
First, I checked the message below using the Terminal.
"waiting for download"

However, the download does not work using the Flash Download tool. When checking using an oscilloscope, the UART and TXD signal seem to be input normally to the RXD(#30) of ESP32-C3-MINI-1. But no ouput comes out from TXD(#31)

I've attached a photo of the module. Could you please check the QR code?

I don't see the image, but if you see 'waiting for download', it's unlikely to be an efuse problem. More likely the Tx fron your serial adapter to the ESP32 module is broken or shorted somewhere.
