Hi I have the same problem (windows defender flags it as trojan) with the flash_download_tool_3.9.8_6.exe.

Same issue here, have tried downloading the flash tool a few times, each time windows has blocked it and specifically flagged the Win32/Caynamer.A!ML as the risk.

Hello, it seems that after some time (perhaps 3 to 4 weeks), files that were previously allowed are also being recognized as virus files. I have now updated the download link and am also looking for ways to avoid this issue.

An update for anyone else finding this thread and wondering what's going on, it looks like the flash tool has been rolled back from 3.9.8_3 of 18 Dec 2024 to 3.9.7 from mid-2024. This means the description on the web page doesn't quite match the software any more, for example the hardware info display option which was added in 3.9.8 isn't available in 3.9.7.
