Hello, I have a problem with my ESP32. It won't connect (even with the BOOT, EN, BOOT release sequence). It appears as 'USB SERIAL CH340'. I've never touched it.

Looks like the headers on that thing have been desoldered. I'd first check to see if there isn't a solder bridge or something that remains from that process.

I was very careful when removing them. And after checking with a multimeter there is no solder bridge.

If you use a terminal on that serial port (115200 baud, n81) and reset the board, do you get any output?

No, nothing happens, neither a printout in the serial monitor nor a flashing LED. Absolutely nothing.

Hm, that sounds like something in hardware is broken. Hard to say what though.

How can I find the problem and do you think it can be fixed?

First step would be to get another one, so you can test if it's really the hardware that is broken. Second step, in all likelihood, would be to just chuck away this one as it's pretty much beyond economic repair and you already have a new one.

I didn't know there were still D modules versions available. The current rev is E.
