esp32 WROOM32 with vs1053

I am trying to build an internet radio using esp32 and VS1053, following a project in Instructables. It uses a Nextion display for visual interface. Basically it works, connecting to the station, it is possible to print the incoming mp3, however no sound. Monitoring DREQ, connected to GPIO 35, it is always high. I have not been able to trace the problem.
