FTM: Poor Range Accuracy Indoors

Hi,
I’m experimenting with range estimation between two ESP32-S3 chips, but I’m seeing poor results even with clear indoor line-of-sight. The measurements don’t seem to vary much with changes in burst size, burst duration, etc.
Is there a way to apply offsets or calibration before taking these measurements? Also, how exactly are these results being generated—can we dig deeper into the MAC layer (or lower layers) to understand the process better?
