Hi, first off, I had totally forgotten that there is a forum, great to be aboard.

I'm looking for some advice on how to wire the LED strips for maximum FX, and will also look good. I will be using an ESP32, I was going to go for the Gledopto unit, but my LEDs are 5V and 90W per 5m, so this wouldn't handle one 5m strip. So I will use two Voltage regulators to handle the power and a standalone ESP32.

These lights will run across one side, in between two panels. Just not too sure which way to wire them to get the best effects, i.e., a burst of light flying down the side of the van with another burst trying to catch it, etc. I'm sure you know the ones I mean, aha.

I've attached a picture of the configurations and would like to know which version (A, B or C) will work best.

In general, it shouldn't matter. The fact that the ESP32 can address every LED independent of its neighbours means that software can implement any mapping between LED position and address, meaning you should be able to put your LEDs where-ever. (Note that if you do have a certain software in mind that doesn't allow arbitrary mapping and you don't want to modify that software, obviously you can only lay out your screens in the way software defines.)

Aside from that, I'd have a slight preference to have the LED strips all 'pointing in the same direction', so A or B. Reason is that the dies in the individual LEDs aren't in exactly the same place, so a LED set to orange might look slightly redder when viewed from one side and slightly greener when viewed from the other side. Normally you don't really see that, but when you flip every other strip around, it becomes somewhat noticable.

Wow, I never knew that, thank you. I was planning on using the WLED app, but what you are saying has completely opened me up to anything else. If you are willing to suggest something, that would be great. So, on an Android, link into Home Assist, but I can run it separately, and I think that is all my requirements.

To be honest, 'B' would be easier to wire up.
