Installation of Espressif-IDE fails

Every now and then I have tried to install Espressif-IDE to ubuntu 22.04 (and 24.04) but always failed, also now. ESP-IDF Manager gave this error.
File "/home/xxxx/.espressif/python_env/idf6.0_py3.10_env/lib/python3.10/site-packages/idf_component_tools/semver/base.py", line 197, in coerce
match = base_re.match(version_string)
TypeError: expected string or bytes-like object

In ESP-IDF Configuration there is a Browse button, but you cannot use it because espressif is hidden and this browser will not show hidden files, nice.

I got the same error already some month ago. Can I expect that some day I can install Espressif-IDE without errors.
I installed espressif using eim/automatic.

Could you confirm which version of Espressif-IDE and EIM you're using?

Most likely this would have fixed with this https://github.com/espressif/idf-im-ui/pull/834, so please update to the latest eim version and let us know how it goes?
