I would like to use the Bluetooth classic only, so that BLE is deactivated and does not consume any current.

However when I select "BR/EDR only" in the menuconfig, my Android phone does not see the ESP32.
It only works when I am selecting "Bluetooth Dual Mode".

I am using a Firebeetle ...
