You need a pulldown resistor to do this (so between Dout and GND).

Capacitive touch on pulled high wire

i am designing a game board that needs 20 buttons and 20 presence sensors. Each board space will get 5v for lighting up a couple of LEDs when a piece is placed on the spot. The working idea is to use a reed switch to close a circuit on the board and route the 5v supply through an ADG732B5UZ ...

Circuit to pass PWM

Hey y’all. I am designing a game board with some LED pieces. When a player places a piece on the board the ESP32 should sense its presence and begin sending PWM to it. If no piece is present the PWM signal should pass to the next space. Here’s my circuit idea.

I am creating a game board using a S3-WROOM. When a player places a piece on the board the ESP should detect it and begin sending it some PWM to drive a couple of LEDs. Is this a reasonable circuit or do I need the reed switch on a separate net? TIA
