EMAC support: ESP32-WROOM-32 vs ESP32-S3-WROOM-1

Hello.
The old Datasheet ESP32-WROOM-32 (NRND) states that ESP32-WROOM-32 supports the Ethernet. Corresponding pins are marked EMAC.
The new Datasheet ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 does not mention the Ethernet. Contact markings EMAC are also missing. Is it possible to use the module ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 to connect via Ethernet? What contacts should be used for this? If this module does not support Ethernet which then is it suitable from the current modules?

Hi taoglas,

ESP32-S3 is different chip! Please see ESP32 modules datasheets at https://www.espressif.com/en/products/modules/esp32

Edit: Just note that the Ethernet is currently (Q1.2023) supported only by ESP32 SoC.

Thanks for the answer! Does it say that if I want to use ESP32 for ethernet I have to take the chip. And ESP32 modules currently no longer support Ethernet?

ESP32 WROOM/WROVER support Ethernet. But ESP32-S and ESP32-C series does not support Ethernet. You can use Espressif Product Selector to help you to find appropriate product https://products.espressif.com/#/produc ... =en&names=
