ESP32-CAM with FTDI FT232RL(YP-05) connection issue

I've been trying to flash a program from ESP-IDF to the ESP32-CAM via FTDI FT232RL, the behavior is very erratic. Sometimes, the flash is successful, but if I am to do it again, it won't detect the device. Sometimes I have to unplug and replug the YP-05 to be able to flash. This is also applicable for the "monitor" command when it's successful but no output is shown.

The symptom that I observe is the YP-05 fails to work after the first "idf.py flash", the workaround is to replug it again.

Has anyone encountered this? I would assume it might be the hardware issue but I might be wrong.
