ESP32P4 module availability

Postby Typhoor » Fri Mar 07, 2025 2:50 pm

As more development boards with ESP32-P4 SOCs are coming out:

Will there be in the near future also a ESP32-P4 modules like the WROOM, WROVER, MINI or SOLO style ?

As the P4 has much more pins I guess the new module type needs also to havemore pins.

Anyone, with some insight about the where and when around ?

Bump, I would love to know about this. Ever since Espressif announced the ESP32P4, I've been keeping an eye out so I can design with it right away. I keep seeing 3rd party modules, but I don't trust them, especially with the lack of documentation. Can we at least get a quarter-based ETA? Like 2025 Q4 or 2026 Q1?

Bump it.
I would love to see espressif make a module like waveshare made combining both ESP32-P4 & ESP32-C6 under the same hood.

There is a really small P4 board (with C6) from Waveshare: ESP32-P4-NANO

That's what I'm looking for:
Together with an FCC / EU Red certification
Is this module freely available from WaveShare ?
I see only the deb board with the module...

waveshare also has the p4-pico: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/ESP32-P4-Pico
and it looks like this module is in development, though i'm not sure it's released yet: https://circuitpython.org/board/solderp ... _stamp_xl/

Thank you for this answer, but i am interested by module provided by Espresssif. With proper documentation and lifecycle.
