Esp32-s3-devkitc-1 not working

I've tried everything. I can't for the life of me flash code to my esp32-s3-devkitc-1 (wroom-1). It says no serial data received. I've tried it on both my copmuters (linux and windows) I gave permission on my usb port or something, downloaded stuff, I have a usb-cable with the trident-logo so data transfer shouldn't be a problem. When I plug it into my computer there is a red light and another blinking light in different colors. I've tried pressing reset on my board, holding boot on my board while connecting. Nothing seems to be working. Is my board maybe faulty?

Hard to say. First of all, please check if your USB cable really has data lines; the trident logo unfortunately guarantees nothing. Try connecting it to a known-good device that supports data, see if it shows up in the OS. Secondly, if auto-download-mode fails for some reason, the correct 'dance' to be sure you get into download mode is to press and hold boot, press and release reset, start the upload, release boot. Can you try that?
