Hello,
Im using the esp32-wroom module on a custom pcb and i recognized a high pitched sound coming from the module.
The chip seems to be working normally, but the sound is quite uncomfortable and also worrying.
Has anybody ever experienced this or an idea what might be causing it?
My first thought was maybe a bad voltage regulator, but directly connecting it to 3v3 doesnt fix the problem either.
ESP32-Wroom coil whine (high beeping noise)
Re: ESP32-Wroom coil whine (high beeping noise)
That sounds odd... normally coil whine is because there's a switching power converter that works in the audible range, and either coils or sometimes capacitors vibrating at that frequency. Thing is, the Wroom module does not have any switched power supplies inside, so I wouldn't know where that sound would come from.

Yes I also experience high pitch whining sound from ESP32 wroom board . What might be possible reason of it .

I hear same.
My board is a ESP32-CAM from DIYMORE.
The noise comes only when some wifi activity is there, like downloading a file.

That probably is because of the piezoelectric effect that capacitors have. As WiFi takes a fair amount of power, the voltage over the power supply caps vary a bit depending on the current usage and they expand/contract a little accordingly; the PCB acts as a soundboard for that and that makes it audible.I hear same.
