Hello Espressif Support Team,
I am currently preparing a device based on an Espressif module for FCC certification and would like to clarify a question regarding the RF test firmware.
I have already used the EspRFTestTool and the binary files provided with the tool for RF testing purposes. My question is whether these binaries are sufficient and officially recommended for FCC certification testing, or if there is a specific FCC-dedicated firmware or binary that should be used instead.
For the certification spot checks, the test lab requires the EUT to operate in a test mode similar to modular certification testing, with continuous transmission on specific WLAN configurations. Specifically, the following modes and channels are required:
802.11b at 2412 MHz
802.11n HT20 at 2412 MHz
The product must continue transmitting on the selected channel and mode for the full duration of the radiated tests.
Could you please confirm whether the EspRFTestTool binaries support this type of continuous transmission in the required modes, or if another firmware is recommended to meet these FCC test requirements?
Thank you in advance for your support.
