In the datasheet the Wrover-IE says 7 or so pins are not connected.
Are they actually connected to flash, like the non e/ie version?
I got a TFT screen working on the flash pins on the 8266, and I'd like to do the same with the wrover.
I would test the wrover, but I do not have any development boards(only 32 and 8266),
and I don't feel like removing the shield, but I guess I will if I have to.

Well that sucks, they seem to be the most popular for sale. Wonder why they decided to do that.
Re: Wrover-IE NC Pins
Too many support issues with people thinking they can use these pins as general-purpose IO, from what I recall. Given the fact that these ports are only of limited use (you can use them as a SPI port but they're not as useful as a normal SPI port as essentially all tasks in the CPU need to halt if you communicate over it), it was decided to remove them.Well that sucks, they seem to be the most popular for sale. Wonder why they decided to do that.
