Does AT+BLEGATTCWR select between Write and Write without response

If a BLE Server has a characteristic which supports both 'Write' and 'Write without response' which is used when AT+BLEGATTCWR is used to write data to the characteristic?

If 'Write' and 'Write without Response' are supported, ‘write’ is used by default.
