ESP32.com forum: bugs, issues, requests?

Postby Sprite » Thu Apr 03, 2025 4:28 am

We just migrated to new forum software with some new features and a refreshed look. Found any bugs, have issues with some things, any good ideas for new behaviour? Post them here.

Okay, we just had a bot strike again, making the forum slow and/or unreachable. We fixed this by adding a bit of Javascript that the client needs to run if they're on a new IP; you may have seen it flash by after you went to the forum today. This seems to keep most of the bots out for now. Feel free to also mention it if that lead to any issues (there's a manual override if you disabled Javascript, but you shouldn't normally have to need to use it)

@rudi ;-) The image upload error, was that only during the bot thing or are you still having issues with that?

Also thanks, I removed the social media accounts; I can imagine people can find those without them being in the footer of a forum.

@martins Thanks, I put it back.

@rudi ;-) Looks like an issue with the WAF that is in place. I need the help of a colleague for that, it'll probably be fixed after the weekend.
