No clue how DSD normally is output (if it's a simple 1-bit stream, then you can abuse I2S for it for sure) but DSD-over-PCM seems to be made to work fine if you use an I2S-to-PCM converter of some kind.

Can't find a specification for DSD ("Direct Stream Digital"), but it appears to be based on PDM which the ESP can do via I2S. Don't know if I2S PDM is compatible with DSD though.
