I2S Stream as source for two pipelines

Postby JT_Bowen » Mon Jul 14, 2025 4:00 pm

Hello,
I'm trying to use a single i2s stream (audio) as the source for both a Bluetooth A2DP stream and a wav encoded, fatfs stream. The goal is to be able to monitor audio over Bluetooth and/or record the audio to a file. I'm using a LyraT-Mini development board and in addition to the two streams I also want to be able to start and stop recording using buttons on the development board. This issue I'm having is that unless both pipelines are running and active then the data is "blocked". Depending on how I configure the pipelines (or elements) no audio is recorded unless Bluetooth is connected, or no Bluetooth audio is present unless audio is actively recording.

I've implemented this both using pipelines and a Raw stream and using elements and ringbuffers with pretty much the same result. My question, is it possible to use a single stream for two pipelines with one or both being intermittently started and stopped?
