I am still working to know which is the least painful.

I found something that may indicicate an error when I try to create a new project:
I am unable to select a framework for the project when I click the button "New project".

What is the best approach to follow in these cases?

I just installed the expressif IDE and as I try to create my very first project this pop up is displayed.

For the sake of clarification I would like to enumerate all the environment variables that are needed by Espressif IDE.
