Re: Zigbee with ESP32-S3 & ESP32-C6

Thanks so much for the clarification. Honestly did not know this till now.

On this note, we purchased the kits from Waveshare (China) and raised a ticket this morning on the same case. They replied within an hour (!!!!) of the requested information.

Summary: We are on the right track and issue is ...

Re: ESP32C6 as a zigbee - MQTT gateway

Yes, it should be possible.

AI is actually getting very good on such questions.

Search for 'ESP32C6 mqtt gateway' on Google AI and note the full details. The use of the Arduino IDE for the Espressif modules is very powerful.

Jumping into this thread. Hope this is ok as the forum is barely alive.

We are an OEM design firm that visits Asia often. What are you after? Can share details of vendors that may be able to assist you. We build ~50 custom cables in Asia for the PC market. Not RF but we know that we have met shops ...

Re: Zigbee with ESP32-S3 & ESP32-C6

I agree. As an OEM designer of widgets, the reviews are very expensive.

Is this not an official support forum by Espressif? If it is then this is a lost cause. Been waiting weeks for a reply and the development team are in hiding or on never ending vacations. Trying to remain professional but the ...

Re: Solution needed for a custom bit banging protocol.

Locally - DBlectro (Quebec, Canada) for us.

USA - you have a mix of vendors selling the line like Edge Electronics. If really stuck, there is Mouser but $$ higher than others.

With some effort, Shenzhen, CN. Reach out to those who build kits using the same parts - ride them for silicon that they ...

Re: Solution needed for a custom bit banging protocol.

TLDR;

Why not use a low density FPGA and marry to the ESP32 or BEKEN (cheaper) with WIFI / BLE interface over I2C / SMBUS / SPI?

FPGAs are very inexpensive and and kick arse on any custom spec like you have raised. Try the Gowin devices.

Try the LILY-GO T-FPGA board based on the ESP32-S3 (can run ...

You have a better chance at winning the lottery multiple times while singing a duet with Taylor Swift than to receive an official response from this "support forum" on life support.

ESP32-C5 as a Matter controller

Hello. Posted inside the ESP-IDF forum with no response.

Can the ESP32-C5 be used as a Matter Controller? For us, the toolchain does not appear to compile without errors. If the target is changed to ESP32-S3, no errors.

Using 5.5.2 ESP-IDF and the latest ESP-MATTER tools on WSL2 ubuntu.

Too early ...
